Expecting it to be like hell where everyone asks you things you are not supposed to be aware of, I was relieved when I realized what it was all about. I recommend it to you all on condition that you know how to take control of your stress and making a speech in front of an audience is a piece of cake for you (even though I still haven?t managed to accomplish either). Teenage boys with suits and ties, handsome Chairs (not the furniture), girls with high heels and skirts, extraordinarily prepared delegates, the ?ONLY ENGLISH? phenomenon which seems to be their favorite rule, delicious snacks, are all undoubtedly going to contribute to you having an amazing time from which I have not so many pictures to show you thanks to my classmates? repulsion of them.. I mean, photos haven?t actually killed anyone, right?

AMUN? Athens Model of United Nations? endless conferences? sounds boring, right? Couldn?t prove more wrong. Despite the time-consuming preparation and the serious amount of stress we received on the thought of being asked to give a speech in front of more than 100 delegates dressed in suit and tie, the general experience was astonishing. The chairman who introduced us to the procedure described talking in front of an audience with the adjective ?addictive?. In retrospect, I couldn?t agree more. Apart from the chance of meeting a lot of new interesting people, with whom we have become friends and are into contact, I think the most valuable aftermath of this 3-days conference was that it helped us surpass our agoraphobia, and ?take the floor? without being anxious at all. So, if you possess a respectable level of knowledge of the English language and are interested in one of the subjects discussed in the conference, I fervently suggest that you participate in an MUN, and above all, that you take the floor.
